Make in India is an initiative, movement which is launched by the honorable prime minister Shri Narendra Modi in 2014 from announcing about it on red fort. This initiative was taken by the Government to low down the effects of inflation rate and to increase the level of productivity in the nation.
In this initiative 25 sectors were chosen anonymously in which the training and development programmes will be provided to young persons so that they can help to the elder people. In this 25 sectors, handicraft and textile items are also one of them.
Make in India for handicrafts -
First of all it is announced by the ministry of textiles that Agra will be developed as hub of the Indian handicraft center and there will be new manufacturing industries established. The handicraft industry of India is full of opportunities because it has an edge over its competitors that these are still based on the quality of handmade handicraft products and it is also developed from the thousand of years and it is full of possibilities to attract youth in large quantity.
There is a lot of work remaining in Make in India movement that there should be lot of changes performed in the trends, skills of craftsmen, patterns and scientific methods so that the export market can easily be leveraged and like the IITs of the India it can also be proven that there is a lot of talent pool in the Indian handicraft sector also.
In make in India it is decided that a community structure should be developed and with this the the new swachata abhiyan should be maintained so that the youth can be attracted in villages and stay there instead of tough 9 to 5 boring jobs. With this the proper training and development initiatives should be organized so that the youth can be informed about the new materials, processes of making handicrafts. With this the single window system will be initiated in the villages also.
